Hi my name is Monica and I have a LMSW (Licensed Master of Social Work) degree from Arizona State University. I have over 20 years of experience in the social work field. I enjoy spending time with my family and running with my dog! I have two grown children in college and one child at home. I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking and the beach. I have extensive experience in providing in-home counseling for adolescents and their parents. I have counseled therapeutic foster parents, adoptive parents and new mothers. Over the years I have specialized in working with individuals, adolescents, adults and senior populations. A few of the areas I specialize in are: life transition and adjustment issues, women’s issues, anxiety/depression, past trauma, parenting issues, adoption/infertility issues, grief and loss, relationship issues, boundaries/codependency, divorce/breakups, career and personality exploration, and personal growth/life purpose. I believe in treating the whole person: body, mind and spirit. I focus on identifying and building on your strengths. I am trained in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), SFBT (solution-focused brief therapy), and IFS (internal family systems). I work with your strengths to help you achieve your goals. I only ask that you bring an open heart to the session and we will begin the journey of healing!
