J’mi Dean, Intern
Hi! My name is J’mi (Jaimie) Dean and I am a marriage and family therapy intern. I have been married for 31 years and have 4 sons who are some of my favorite people! As I’m working to finish my master’s degree, I keep thinking of all the different transitions life can bring. Some are joyful, like graduating from high school or college, getting married or becoming a grandparent. Others just happen as we grow older—we find ourselves raising hard teenagers, our kids leave home, or we start caring for our aging parents. Transitions like divorce, addiction, trauma, or mental health challenges are unexpected and can be incredibly painful. These challenges often leave individuals, couples and families feeling stuck. I like to focus on solutions and identify hopeful ways of viewing problems. Because our lives are constantly changing, therapy can help nudge that inevitable change in the direction you want your life to go. The right therapist can be a powerful ally during difficult times. I look forward for the chance to help you.
Self pay: $50 for 60 minute session
J’mi is currently getting supervision from Ryan Hausenfluck, LMFT.
